Information on battery disposal (BattG)

In connection with the sale of batteries or the delivery of devices containing batteries, we as a retailer are obliged to inform you of the following:

  • Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household waste.
  • You are legally obliged to return used batteries.
  • You can return used batteries free of charge to a municipal collection point or local retailer .
  • Alternatively, you can also send batteries to our return address below.

Meaning of the symbols

The symbol of the crossed-out wheeled bin means that batteries must not be disposed of with household waste.
Additional chemical names may appear below the symbol:

  • Hg = Battery contains more than 0.0005 mass percent mercury
  • Cd = Battery contains more than 0.002 mass percent cadmium
  • Pb = Battery contains more than 0.004% lead by mass

Information on the disposal of old equipment (ElektroG)

Electrical and electronic equipment must not be disposed of with household waste. Consumers are required to dispose of old devices separately.

  • Old appliances can be disposed of free of charge at public collection points in the municipalities .
  • We also accept returns of old devices if you send them to our returns address.
  • Please remove any rechargeable batteries or batteries if they can be separated from the old device.
  • Old devices that contain personal data (e.g. smartwatches) must be erased before being returned.
